My Testimony by Joyce Conley Morse
ByIn 1985 I was very sick. I had went to doctor after doctor, but they did not know what was wrong with me. I was burning inside and could not eat or drink without it hurting, I had lost 30 pounds. They put me in the hospital at Oklahoma City where they did all kinds of tests, but they just couldn’t find what was the cause of it, so the doctor sent me home with medicine to take.
I was scared and I let fear come into my heart. I thought I was going to die, so I stayed in my bedroom, I couldn’t leave it because of having so much fear inside me and the pain in my body was so bad. I thought I can’t live like this no more, so one night I poured a handful of pills in my hand and said, I just want to go to sleep and not wake up. I thought I can’t do that, I have children to take care of, my son, and my granddaughter to raise. So I stood on my bed and I screamed out to the Lord. I said, Lord if you are there heal me or take me, I can’t live like this anymore. I laid down and went to sleep.
When I woke up I knew I was healed there was no burning in my body and no fear. I knew Jesus came in my bedroom and He healed me that night. The next day I went in to see if I could eat and drink and I could. There was no burning or feeling sick. I was healed. I praise His Name and I thank God.
We have to ask the Lord in times of trouble or sickness and believe that He hears us. He heard me and my cry, Thank God. He loves His children so we need to cast all of our cares on the Lord.
